heelflip

Some find it harder than the kickflip, some people don’t - in this video you’ll be learning the heelflip.

We'd like to say a big thank you to ATBShop Skate Warehouse for letting us film in their park and Geoff from Rubicon for his time and expertise.

things to remember

  • Back foot on the tail, slightly centred so you can use your toes to get more pop

  • Front foot on the toe edge, around the bolts, slightly pointed up the board

  • Pop the ollie and slide your front foot up the board and off the toe edge corner to initiate the flip

  • When you see the grip tape coming round, try and get your feet back onto the bolts

  • Pro tip: make sure your front foot is far enough over the toe edge as this will make the rotation easier
